A premium ring-spun cotton t-shirt featuring an original photographic-style composite of three isopods (Armadillidium and Cubaris spp.) in a shallow arc before a full moon, each a different morph, all turned out toward you. Warm low light picks out their patterned plates and everything behind falls away into black.

There is no punchline here and there was never meant to be one. The three morphs are distinct enough to tell apart at a glance, which is the whole point for anyone who keeps them. The print is thin, so the dark of the scene and the dark of the garment are the same and the design has no visible edge. Soft ring-spun cotton, unisex fit, short sleeve, round neck — a well-aimed gift for the keeper whose clean-up crew has its own shelf.

Soft ring-spun cotton, 4.5 oz. Light enough for summer, thin enough to layer under a hoodie the rest of the year. The cut is unisex and pre-shrunk, and it runs true to size, so if you're stuck between two, take the smaller one. Double-needle stitching at the collar and hems, and a tear-away label so nothing scratches the back of your neck. Sizes run S to 3XL, printed and shipped from the USA.

The artwork starts from the real animal, so the markings are the ones your species actually has. Most animal art is drawn by someone who has never kept one, and you can always tell.

Fair warning: this is the shirt you'll pull on for the weekly feed and then forget to change before you go out.

Keep the print looking new

Cold wash. Hot water is what fades the ink, and you run enough heat lamps as it is.
Turn it inside out first, so the print never rubs against the drum.
Gentle detergent. No bleach, and no fabric softener either, because it coats the fibres and dulls the colour.
Wash it with similar colours the first couple of times.
Hang dry if you can. Low heat if you can't, and get it out while it's still a little warm.
Iron around the print, or flip the shirt inside out. Never straight onto the design.

Do that and it will outlast a good few sheds.

Every shirt is printed for your order. Most leave within about three business days, and delivery is usually another three to seven after that. If you need it by a certain date, email support@brightbison.com before you order and we'll tell you straight whether it will make it.
