This is a blue-tongued skink (Tiliqua scincoides) t-shirt done as a rain-slick night scene: the skink in a pinstripe suit and fedora, tail trailing behind, holding a bright blue lollipop that matches its famous tongue, with neon club signs and wet pavement glowing behind it.

That blue tongue is a bluff display. A startled Tiliqua flashes it to look far more dangerous than a snail-eating lizard has any right to, and dressing one as a hard-boiled detective simply makes the bluff official.

Printed on the Gildan 64000 - 100% ring-spun cotton with a soft unisex fit, sizes S through 3XL.

About the shirt

Soft ring-spun cotton, 4.5 oz. Light enough for summer, thin enough to layer under a hoodie the rest of the year. The cut is unisex and pre-shrunk, and it runs true to size, so if you're stuck between two, take the smaller one. Double-needle stitching at the collar and hems, a tear-away label so nothing scratches, and sizes from S to 3XL. Printed and shipped from the USA.

Fair warning: this is the shirt you'll pull on to do the weekly feed and then forget to change before you go out.

How to keep the print looking new

Cold wash. Hot water is what fades the ink.
Turn it inside out first, so the print never rubs against the drum.
Gentle detergent. Skip the bleach, and skip fabric softener too, it coats the fibres and dulls the colour.
Wash it with similar colours the first couple of times.
Hang dry if you can. Low heat if you can't, and take it out while it's still a little warm.
Iron around the print, or flip the shirt inside out. Never straight onto the design.

Do that and it will still look right in a few years.

Getting it to you

We print and ship from the USA, and for now we only ship within the US. Shipping is free once your order goes over $75.

Nothing sits in a warehouse here. Your shirt gets printed after you order it, which takes most orders about three business days to leave. Delivery is usually another three to seven days after that. If you need it by a certain date, email support@brightbison.com before you order and we'll tell you straight whether it will make it.

If something goes wrong

We'll make it right. That covers a print or fabric flaw, the wrong design turning up, or a parcel that stops moving somewhere between us and you.

Email support@brightbison.com within 30 days with a photo of the problem and you'll get a replacement or a refund, whichever you'd rather have. The shirt needs to be unused and in the condition it arrived in.

We're US-based. Rather than shipping everything out of one warehouse, we print through partner facilities around the country and your order goes to whichever one is nearest you. That's how a shirt that didn't exist until you ordered it still lands on your doorstep in about a week.

Not yet. Right now we only ship within the US. Staying domestic is what keeps the turnaround down to a few days and lets us keep an eye on what actually goes out the door. We'd like to reach keepers further afield eventually, so if you're overseas, email support@brightbison.com and we'll tell you when we get there.

Yes. The moment your order leaves the facility you'll get an email with a tracking number on it. Whether you check it twice a day or forget about it until the parcel turns up is entirely your call.

Most of our tees are 4.5 oz ring-spun cotton, the soft lightweight kind rather than the stiff boxy kind. It's pre-shrunk, so it keeps its shape after a wash instead of turning into a crop top. A few items use a different blend, and when they do it's written on that product's page.
